Disabling deliveries

If needed, Organization Admins can disable this feature at an instance-wide or a document level.

Delivery ownership

Each time a scheduled delivery or alert runs, Omni checks that its current owner can access the document and its underlying model. An embed owner doesn’t need an active session. This owner access check also applies to personalized email deliveries, whose content uses the recipients’ user attributes. Access granted through connectionRoles and modelRoles is replaced on each embed login. If a later login removes the access needed for the document, a delivery can fail with Scheduler owner does not have access to this document. These access changes can make failures appear intermittent even when the delivery’s configuration hasn’t changed. To keep deliveries owned by embed users running:
  • If you grant access through connectionRoles or modelRoles, include all grants needed by the user’s scheduled content on every embed request. Use modelRoles when access should be limited to individual models.
  • If the user accesses data in multiple entities, create a separate embed user for each entity.
  • For deliveries that support ownership transfer, an Organization Admin can transfer ownership to another user with the required access. For deliveries that use the owner’s user attributes, confirm that the new owner’s permissions and attributes produce the intended data.
Once you restore the owner’s required access, retry the delivery manually or wait for its next scheduled run. Failed occurrences are not automatically retried.

Delivery color scheme

The prefersDark URL parameter sets the color scheme for an embed user’s own session, including anything they download during that session. A delivery owned or received by that embed user runs without an active session, so it instead uses the user’s stored color scheme preference, or your organization’s default if none is stored.

Customizing sender information

The Customer email sender feature allows you to customize the sender information for Omni delivery emails, including the sender’s name, email domain, and reply-to address. Refer to Whitelabeling sender addresses for email deliveries for more information.

Populating email suggestions

In order for email suggestions to be populated automatically for deliveries, the email parameter needs to be included in the embed URL.
