Filters for empty string values. This operator applies to string fields only.
Set is_empty: false to match non-empty values instead. This has the same effect as not_is_empty: true.

Syntax

Properties

string
required
The field to filter on, specified in the format view_name.field_name. Must be a string field.
boolean
required
Set to true to match empty values, or false to match non-empty values.
boolean
required
Set to true to match non-empty values, or false to match empty values. This is the negated form of is_empty.

Legacy syntax

Existing YAML that uses is: "" to represent an is-empty filter still reads as is_empty: true. New filters are always written as is_empty or not_is_empty. Outside of an or or and group, is: "" means “any value” and does not filter the field. Use is_empty to filter on empty values unambiguously.
