Dashboard Tabs & Reordering

Luke Bowerman · Dashboards Reorder tabs in multi-page dashboards directly from the sidebar, and customize labels independently from page names. You can also set link targets and forward filter params to link dashboards together.

Page Tooltips from Descriptions

Luke Bowerman · Dashboards Page descriptions now appear as tooltips when hovering over dashboard tabs and inline navigation elements. A small quality-of-life improvement to help viewers understand what each page contains.

Account-Wide Custom Error Messages

Luke Bowerman · Dashboards Set a default custom error message and “no results” presentation that applies across all dashboards in your organization. Previously this had to be configured per-dashboard.

Dashboard Run Button

Luke Bowerman · Dashboards Early prototype of a run button for dashboards — powered by adding autorun to your model. Lets viewers manually trigger query execution, with plans to support placement anywhere on the page in advanced layout.

Delete & Restore Documents

Luke Bowerman · Dashboards Administration When navigating to a deleted document, Omni will now show you the document name and offer a one-click restore instead of a plain 404. Also covers upcoming auto-archiving of support-created documents on customer instances.

Advanced Layout Titles & Subtitles Work

Meredith Dodge · Dashboards Query title items in advanced layout now have dedicated fields for title, subtitle, and AI-generated text — no more mustache variables in a markdown editor. Also covers new resize handles on stack containers and text alignment controls.

Moveable Filters / Filter Bar in Advanced Layout

Alisa Tatarinova · Dashboards Filters Upgrading a dashboard to advanced layout now fully integrates the filter bar as a native layout element. Filters can be styled, dragged into tiles, and hidden — with a new hidden filters section for easy access.

Blobbreaker Conference Leaderboard Embed

Alisa Tatarinova · Fun A custom Blockbreaker game built for an upcoming conference uses Omni as its live leaderboard via embed. The leaderboard is a markdown visualization with a hidden filter driven by the URL, updating in real time as scores come in.

Workbook Shortcuts & Query Views

Luke Bowerman · Workbook New keyboard shortcut to collapse/expand all in the workbook, a quick-jump button to edit topics, smarter auto-generated query view names to avoid collisions, and a warning when switching tabs with unsaved topic changes.

Date & Number Column Formatting

Luke Bowerman · Workbook New formatting options for date and number columns are now available directly in the results view — no more manual HTML. Formatting also detects your locale and applies EU conventions automatically where appropriate.

Edit View Drawer

Luke Bowerman · Workbook A new edit view drawer lets you set labels, descriptions, and hidden fields directly from the explore UI without jumping to the workbook. Hidden fields are visible and recoverable right in the drawer.

Split View UI Redesign

Gustav Staprans · AI A design refresh for split view that reclaims dead header space — chat now extends to the top of the screen, the profile icon floats contextually, and the dashboard header is restored with sharing and edit controls inline.

Time Zone Overrides

Conrad Slimmer · Dashboards Administration A new content permission lets viewers switch time zones directly on dashboards and workbooks via a time zone picker. The selected time zone can be pinned in a shared URL so recipients see consistent data regardless of their local settings.

Always Scope View Names

Conrad Slimmer · Modeling A new connection setting that fully scopes view names with their catalog, reducing ambiguity when working with multi-catalog databases or shared models with different default catalogs. Will be the default for newly created connections going forward.

Refresh Schema Permissions for Modelers

Conrad Slimmer · Administration Modeling Modelers can now refresh schema without needing connection admin rights — automatically granted when there’s only one shared model under a connection. A stepping stone toward making refresh schema a fully granular permission.

dbt Docs Update

Rebecca Bruggman · Docs dbt Five new dbt integration docs and 52 new FAQs added this quarter, covering virtual schemas, Git workflows, constraints and deferrals, schema refresh behavior, and health check debugging.

Slackbot Dashboard Building & AI Jobs API

Corey Ruderman · Slackbot API Dashboards Ask Omni’s Slackbot to build a full dashboard from a natural language prompt — powered by the AI Jobs API, which means the same capability is also available programmatically via API and CLI for agentic workflows and bulk migrations.
