Automated Model Improvement (with AI)

Chris Swenson · AI Modeling A data model that improves itself has always been the dream. Use the product, have the model improve passively. This is the first step in a bunch of ongoing work to read in usage data (in this case AI feedback) and suggest improvements to the data model. Lots more work to come here, but building towards a future where the model is doing work for you in the background (with review loops of course).

FILTER() in Spreadsheets (Huge Formatted Downloads)

Richard Czechowski · Spreadsheets We’ve had some asks for even bigger native spreadsheets (think 500k rows by 100 columns). With the new FILTER() function now you can build and style in Omni with the ability to export these enormous tables to Excel fully styled.

Table Conditional Format in Excel Downloads

Richard Czechowski · Spreadsheets Now your conditional formats from native tables will persist on download into Excel - fully styled tables wherever you want em.

Named Custom Formats

TJ Banghart · Modeling A little more love for custom formats in the model - now you can name your own for usage anywhere in the app.

More Work on OmniTopics (Calcs, Pivots, Field Building)

TJ Banghart · Modeling Workbook More work to make OmniTopics first class - so exploring data across parallel data sets (think users, products, and orders at the same time, but joined on time).

AI Vis Validation

Dan Mosora · AI Vis We’re working on making the visualizations built with AI higher quality and more reliable.

Blobby Learns to Build Dashboard Filters

Trip Tate · AI Dashboards We want Blobby to take away the tedious work of building and mapping dashboard filters. Coming soon!

Exploring an AI Model Evaluation Framework

James Davidson · AI Modeling Blobby is becoming a core team member for most of our customers. The next step in the maturity curve is understanding the impact of changes to your model context. Here’s a first look at that framework natively in Omni.

AI Agent Builds Models from SQL History

James Davidson · AI Modeling A bunch of new work we’re experimenting with to accelerate building data models. Here we use the SQL logs to bootstrap model concepts.

Writing Databricks Metric Views from Omni

Peter Whitehead · AI Databricks Modeling Making it that much easier to build Databricks Metrics Views directly from Omni (with some AI of course).

Topic Interactive ERD Diagrams

Bernard Sanders · AI Modeling Workbook An awesome new tool for easily seeing what’s available in a topic and how it fits together.

Analytics Data on AI Spend

Colin Zima · AI Administration Analytics Some ongoing work to publish full data on AI spend in Omni. Bit of work to sessionize the query data. Next step will be some benchmark stats across the customer base for typical cost-per-query.

Blobby Summarizes What Omni Eng Team is Doing

Arielle Strong · AI Internal A quick skill for synthesizing all the product we are shipping.
