Introducing Layers for Enhanced Visualization Control

Nathan Agrin · Visualization A first look at a major step forward for visualization. We’re bringing layers to the UI in Omni.

Simplified Command Inputs and Improved Help Text

Nathan Agrin · AI CLI More work on the CLI to improve your experience.

AI Cost Data

Colin Zima · AI Analytics A walkthrough of new AI cost visibility tooling built into Omni. See how we’ve sessionized AI usage logs to surface per-query costs across the entire customer base — including token usage, tool call counts, and percentile breakdowns. AI usage has nearly doubled in two weeks, and now we have the data infrastructure to understand exactly what it costs to power it.

Dashboard Advanced Layout Improvements

James Bueche · Dashboards A rundown of several quality-of-life improvements to Omni’s Advanced Layout editor: dynamic font sizing for KPI tiles, better sibling element selection, a new spacebar shortcut to prevent accidental nesting while dragging, arrow key support in resize inputs, a persistent field picker, and a batch fix for ~30 accessibility issues across the dashboard.

Connected Services & Integrations

Jared Hardy · MCP Administration A demo of Omni’s new integrations tab, now rolling out behind a feature flag. Customers can now connect external tools like Slack, GitHub, and Google Calendar directly to their Omni profile via OAuth. We also discuss the path forward — API wrappers vs. MCP, customer-driven extensibility, and what it took to ship the first four integrations.

Dashboard Building WIP

Gustav Staprans · Dashboards AI An early look at work-in-progress AI tooling for dashboard editing in Omni. New tools let the AI search the dashboard for context before acting, change queries and visualizations simultaneously, and apply filters — all from natural language. Also includes a discussion on whether AI-driven dashboard building could eventually work entirely outside the UI.

DBT API Endpoints

Buck Ryan · dbt API A demo of new DBT API endpoints in Omni, covering config management, environment creation/update, and exposures. The highlight is a full end-to-end workflow for customers with dynamic DBT environments: a pull request triggers automatic environment creation in Omni, schema setup in the warehouse, and full cleanup on close — all via GitHub Actions calling the new API.

Editing in AI Split View

Gustav Staprans · AI Dashboards Demo of a new editing mode in Omni’s Split View. When you enter edit mode, the AI picks up that context and can use dashboard editing tools — rearranging tiles, adding filters, and updating charts — all while you’re looking at the live dashboard. We also discuss performance tradeoffs and what’s coming next for making AI-driven edits faster.

AI Split View Performance

Gustav Staprans · AI A quick look at a small but meaningful UX improvement to Split View in Omni. Opening and closing dashboard tiles now shows an incremental loading state and closes immediately — making navigation between split view and chat feel noticeably snappier. Shipping early next week.
