The Omni API allows 60 requests per minute per API key. When you exceed this limit, the API returns a 429 Too Many Requests response.

Applicable endpoints

The limit applies to all /api/* routes, per individual API key. The exception to the per-key rule is the POST /embed/sso/generate-url endpoint. Separately, requests to the embed login page (/embed/login) are capped at 30 requests per minute per IP address.

Handling 429 responses

429 responses don’t include a Retry-After header, so your integration needs to choose its own wait time. We recommend implementing retry logic with exponential backoff. For bulk jobs, spread requests over time instead of sending them all at once. You can also use multiple API keys to distribute requests and increase total throughput. You can request an increase to 500 requests per minute for your instance. This applies to all /api/* endpoints. Contact Omni Support to discuss your requirements.
