Color palettes commands - Omni CLI

Create and manage custom chart palettes. These commands don’t return or change Omni’s built-in palettes.

omni color-palettes <command>

Command	Description
`list`	List custom color palettes
`create`	Create a custom color palette
`get`	Get a custom color palette
`update`	Update a custom color palette
`delete`	Delete a custom color palette

create, update, and delete require the Manage Config permission. A discrete palette assigns its colors to categories in order. A continuous palette blends between its colors, in order, to build a gradient for numeric values. Names must be unique per type within the organization.

# Create a discrete palette for categorical charts
omni color-palettes create --body '{"name":"Brand colors","type":"discrete","colors":["#1f77b4","#ff7f0e","#2ca02c"]}'

# List custom palettes to find a palette's ID
omni color-palettes list

# Replace only the colors; omitted fields keep their values, and charts using the palette pick up the change
omni color-palettes update <id> --body '{"colors":["#0b3d91","#f2a900","#2ca02c"]}'

# View help for delete command, including arguments and flag details
omni color-palettes delete --help

When you delete a palette, charts that use it fall back to the organization’s default palette. You can’t delete the organization’s current default palette or change its type. Set a different default first.

Every command in this group also accepts the global flags, including --token, --profile, --format, and --compact.
