# exclude_from_bind_all - Filter operators

> Keeps a filter from being forwarded into a query view's SQL when that view has bind_all_filters set.

Automatically set by the Omni Agent when it writes a CTE-based query to prevent filters from being forwarded into a query view's SQL when that view has [`bind_all_filters`](/modeling/query-views/parameters/bind-all-filters) set. This means that filters won't be re-narrowed by outer dashboard or workbook filters.

You rarely need to set this manually, but you may see it in the YAML of a query view that was promoted from an AI-generated query.

## Syntax

```yaml theme={null}
query:
  filters:
    <field>:
      <filter_operator>: <value>
      exclude_from_bind_all: true
```

## Properties

<ParamField path="field" type="string" required>
  The field to filter on, specified in the format `view_name.field_name`.
</ParamField>

<ParamField path="filter_operator" type="varies" required>
  Any standard filter operator (e.g., [`is`](/modeling/filters/operators/is), [`not`](/modeling/filters/operators/not), [`greater_than`](/modeling/filters/operators/greater-than), etc.) with its corresponding value.
</ParamField>

<ParamField path="exclude_from_bind_all" type="boolean">
  If `true`, a query view with `bind_all_filters` that uses this query does not receive this filter.
</ParamField>

## Examples

In this example, the query view has `bind_all_filters: true`, so it normally receives every filter from the outer query. The filter on `users.created_at` is marked `exclude_from_bind_all: true`, so it keeps its original value regardless of any outer filters on the same field.

```yaml theme={null}
query:
  fields:
    users.id: id
    users.created_at: created_at
  base_view: users
  topic: users
  bind_all_filters: true
  filters:
    users.created_at:
      is: "2025"
      exclude_from_bind_all: true
```
