## Blobby joins the modeling team

Our more advanced modelers have been using Claude Code to unlock huge productivity in the CLI for modeling workflows. We wanted to make sure everyone has access to AI tools when building data models. Now Blobby will follow you around the IDE and can intervene to build model (in branches of course). Goal is extreme productivity and way less busywork (think formats on 100s of fields, automating descriptions, or even heavier SQL building - anything you can imagine). As always, this isn't a black box, and developers can review before accepting to make sure everything works as expected.
## Omni is your MCP

We have lots of folks integrating Blobby into external MCP use cases. It means you can bring all of the Omni goodness to any AI workflow you can imagine. We also wanted to make it easier for folks to get going. Now you can use Omni as the central MCP - calling independent services alongside Blobby where we'll manage the connectivity. This will open up Salesforce updates, Notion, even custom internal tools inside Blobby. Very excited to see what folks do with this.
## AI in all views and fields

We introduced a brand new toggle to unleash Blobby on the less-modeled All Views and Fields. This won't be for everyone, but opens up completely new, less-modeled use cases for more productivity with AI. Plan to open up SQL in the future as well to make sure we offer the full spectrum of experience.
## Blobby learns to look for specific documents

Now you can flag explicit documents for Blobby to look-up when answering tactical questions (think product roadmap, pricing, or other internal knowledge base docs you may want AI to reference and/or query).
## Better Slack chips (UX) in AI

Some small UX improvements to make sure the Slack responses from Blobby look great and are easy to read.
## Better large file warnings for AI

Another small AI tune-up. We have some current limits on file size with Blobby (very much plan to relax these and allow bigger and bigger files). Either way, wanted to make sure it was clear what we can support in terms of external files in the UI.
## New dashboard search

We've completely overhauled the dashboard search experience - now you can search for others' favorites, by tag, or other facets to quickly find what you need. Let us know what else you wish was available in the search index.
## Workbook field lineage

We're working on some new UX to show the difference between centralized model objects and workbook-only objects. More to do here but want to make sure governance and ownership is always clear.
## Formatted Excel downloads

Now Omni makes sure your downloads into Excel can preserve value formatting, etc when grabbing XLSX files.
## Visual drilling
